More than 37 thousand Vietnamese workers have gone to work abroad since the beginning of the year.

Japan is still the largest market for Vietnamese workers going abroad to work. Next are other traditional markets such as Taiwan and South Korea. According to the Department of Overseas Labor Management (Ministry of Home Affairs), since the beginning of the year, more than 37,000 Vietnamese workers have gone abroad to work.

According to the Department of Overseas Labor Management, according to data reported by enterprises, the total number of Vietnamese workers working abroad in March was 14,731 workers (5,027 female workers). The receiving markets include: Japan: 6,730 workers (3,129 female workers), Taiwan: 5,024 workers (1,519 female workers), South Korea: 2,023 workers (193 female workers), China: 282 workers, Singapore: 207 workers, Romania: 42 workers (5 female workers); Hungary: 96 (29 female workers) and other markets.

Thus, in the first 3 months of 2025, the total number of Vietnamese workers working abroad was 37,027 workers (7,061 female workers), reaching 28.4% of the annual plan (in 2025, the plan to send Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts is from 130,000 workers), including the markets: Japan: 18,931 workers (7,785 female workers), Taiwan: 11,076 workers (3,521 female workers), Korea: 4,141 workers (493 female workers), China: 758 workers (00 female workers), Singapore: 536 workers (00 female workers), Romania: 133 workers (11 female workers); Hungary 397 (96 female workers) and other markets.
