The “Green March” program is part of a series of volunteer summer activities in 2023, implemented by the youth of the Military Medical Academy with 4 main activities: “Lighting up the countryside roads”, “Youth trees”, “Helping children go to school” and giving gifts to families with meritorious services. This activity aims to commemorate the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947/July 27, 2023).

Within the framework of the program, the delegation of the Military Medical Academy led by Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nam, Deputy Commissar of the Military Medical Academy, together with union members and young people representing the youth of the Academy, offered incense at the Memorial House of the Heroic Martyrs of Cao Duong commune.

Speaking at the handover ceremony of the youth project, Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nam expressed: “After nearly 1 month of urgent construction to ensure progress and quality. Up to now, the youth project has been "changed" to the joy of the unit and the people of Cao Duong commune. The youth project with 25 high-pressure lamps, using solar energy, will gradually make the rural appearance more and more prosperous, contributing significantly to the construction of new rural areas of the locality".

Continuing the program “Lighting up the countryside”, 25 banyan trees were planted by officers and students of the Military Medical Academy at the primary and secondary schools and the Cultural House of Cao Duong commune with the theme “Youth Trees”. In addition, 10 bicycles were also given to 10 poor but excellent students with the wish “Helping you go to school”.

Within the framework of the “Green March” program, the delegation visited, encouraged, and presented 10 gifts to 10 policy families in Cao Duong commune, Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province. The total value of the activities was nearly 100 million VND.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan, Head of the Youth Department, Political Department of the Military Medical Academy affirmed: "The volunteer activities of the "Green March" Program in Cao Duong commune contribute to strengthening the military-civilian relationship; affirming the good traditional relationship between the Academy and the local government and people".
