From August 13 to August 15, the ASEAN University Network for Quality Assessment (AUN-QA) team coordinated to complete the assessment of 3 training programs of the University of Commerce.
Training programs include: Commercial Marketing, Business Accounting, Finance - Commercial Banking.
Accordingly, the expert team pointed out the strengths, shortcomings and appropriate recommendations to help the University of Commerce have an overall view of the quality of operations of the three training programs above.

Dr. Yu Un Oppusunggu, representative of the AUN-QA evaluation team, commented that the resources and dedication that teachers and the school have devoted to the evaluation process of the team over the past time are completely worthy. The efforts help the school improve quality and get closer to its training mission.
The school's mission is to train high-quality, highly qualified human resources with entrepreneurial and innovative capacity, capable of competing in the domestic and international labor market; scientific research, policy consulting, knowledge transfer in the field of modern economics and trade, contributing to the prosperous development and enhancing the position of Vietnam.
The accreditation of the school's training programs demonstrates the quality of training not only domestically but also in Southeast Asia.
Associate Professor Dr. Ha Van Su, Vice Principal of the University of Commerce, said that after the official conclusion, the school will systematically review and review all of its activities.
The school will soon develop an action plan, allocate adequate resources to overcome existing limitations with the highest effort, demonstrating strong determination in ensuring commitment to quality, ensuring integration with the quality of higher education in the region and the world.

Previously, on March 11, the University of Commerce received a notice from the AUN-QA Organization, officially becoming an associate member of the ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance, AUN-QA.
In recent years, the quality assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs and the assessment of higher education institutions according to the AUN-QA standards have been of interest to the Ministry of Education and Training as well as most universities nationwide.
Becoming an associate member of the AUN-QA network for quality assurance in higher education is one of the mandatory requirements to be accredited according to this set of standards.
AUN-QA is a set of standards with strict quality rules, specific and clear criteria, focusing on evaluating the conditions to ensure the training quality of the entire training program, not just based on the specific characteristics of each major.
By the end of August 2023, AUN-QA had 179 higher education institutions as associate members, of which Vietnam had 50 schools.
To join the group of associate members, schools submit an application that provides information about the school's formation, development, training and scientific research processes, as well as orientation and strategy in the field of accreditation and quality assurance.
The AUN Council reviews, verifies and screens higher education institutions that wish to apply for membership.
