(Dan Tri) - On the evening of March 11, Lam Bao Ngoc officially released a new music product called "I'm sorry".

The song was composed by musician Pabaki (Korea), with Vietnamese lyrics written by her and a friend. The song has a gentle melody, profound lyrics, and tells the story of an unfinished love story. To understand the content of the song, Lam Bao Ngoc worked directly with Pabaki, despite some difficulties due to language barriers.

"I don't know Korean, and he doesn't speak English very well, so we had to use Google Translate. However, when Pabaki told me the story behind the song, I felt a clear connection," she shared.

The song was inspired by the Korean musician's own experience. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he accidentally found a keepsake from his ex-lover in his backpack, bringing back lingering memories and emotions. From there, the lyrics "Baby, I'm sorry, I forgot you" echoed in his mind, creating inspiration for the song.

Lam Bao Ngoc said that from the first time she heard the demo (test recording), she could not hold back her tears many times because she sympathized with the emotions the author conveyed. When writing the Vietnamese lyrics, the female singer also incorporated her personal story, depicting the sadness and regret in love.

Lam Bao Ngoc confided: "If anyone loves and marries the person they love, that is lucky. I am not so lucky. I have experienced many unfulfilled love affairs. Those emotions are hard to describe, making my heart ache. I want to tell them as honestly as possible so that the audience can sympathize."

Filming the MV also posed many challenges. She had to act out the scenes separately, out of order, requiring her to constantly switch emotions from happiness to sadness.

"Having to act happy and then immediately switch to regret and suffering, adjusting emotions in different camera angles and lighting is really not easy for a non-acting artist like me," she confided.

The singer admitted that now is the time when she feels her voice is most mature to release a personal product. After more than 7 years of professional activities, going through many competitions and experimenting with various genres, she believes that her music has clearly matured.

"There are still the typical high notes, but in the MV I'm sorry , I have restrained them more to make the song softer and easier to feel. If there were no high notes, this would definitely not be Lam Bao Ngoc's song! (laughs).

I know my recognition point lies in the high notes and when I hit the high notes, the audience will immediately recognize me," the female singer shared.

Looking back on her 7-year singing career, Lam Bao Ngoc assessed that the Vietnamese music market is developing strongly. She is proud to see the younger generation increasingly updating international trends and creating their own colors.

According to her, this not only makes the domestic music scene more vibrant but also opens up opportunities to collaborate with international artists, bringing Vietnamese music further.
