On the afternoon of March 12, in Singapore, General Secretary To Lam met and discussed with former Prime Minister, Senior Minister, Senior Advisor of the People's Action Party of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong on the occasion of an official visit to Singapore.
General Secretary To Lam congratulated Singapore, under the leadership of the People's Action Party, the Singaporean Government and former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong over the past years, for achieving many great strides in socio-economic development, making Singapore one of the leading financial, technological and innovation centers in the region, with an increasing position and role in the international arena; affirming that Singapore is always a close friend and leading partner in many fields, including economics - trade, investment, security - defense.

General Secretary To Lam thanked Mr. Lee Hsien Loong for his direct contributions as Prime Minister of Singapore in his previous capacity, which helped create a solid foundation for the bilateral relationship; affirmed that the two sides' official upgrading of relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership would create a new impetus to strongly promote bilateral relations, actively contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.
Former Prime Minister, Senior Minister, Senior Advisor to the People's Action Party of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong was pleased to meet again and highly appreciated the official visit of General Secretary To Lam to Singapore; affirming that the relationship between the two countries has made strong progress, from a Strategic Partnership and now upgraded to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Pleased with the results of the talks held that morning between General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong as well as the signing of nine cooperation agreements between the two sides in many fields such as science and technology, renewable energy, etc., Mr. Lee Hsien Loong expressed his joy at the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in all important areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong expressed his firm belief that the relationship between the two countries will continue to develop strongly in the coming time.
