On the morning of October 24, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City organized the handover of machinery and equipment under the 2024 industrial promotion program.
Mr. Le Thanh Ha - Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Da Nang City said that in 2024, Da Nang City will spend 5.5 billion VND on industrial promotion activities. Of which, more than 1 billion VND will support trade promotion activities and brand building. The rest will support businesses to invest in machinery and equipment to improve productivity, product quality, and cleaner production.

In this handover, 9 units completed the installation and acceptance of machinery. Of which, 3 units were beneficiaries under the project to support the construction of a pilot model for applying cleaner production in industry, including: Ba Loc Abrasive Adhesive Co., Ltd., U&I Phuong Quan Trading and Production Co., Ltd., and Viet Czech Joint Stock Company.

The total investment cost for machinery and equipment for acceptance in this period is more than 8.36 billion VND. Of which, the industrial promotion fund supports more than 2.26 billion VND. The rest is the counterpart capital of the enterprise.
According to Mr. Le Thanh Ha, through monitoring, enterprises receiving funding support from the industrial promotion program to innovate production machinery have seriously implemented the procedures as well as invested in machinery, and put the machinery into production effectively. "The industrial promotion program is implemented to support not only manufacturing enterprises but also small units such as cooperatives, creating motivation for enterprises to boldly invest, innovate production, and improve product quality", said the Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Da Nang City, and hoped that the units receiving support will put the machinery into effective operation to increase product quality and competitiveness.

Viet Czech Joint Stock Company (Hoa Cam Industrial Park, Cam Le District) was invested in a four-sided planing and automatic shaping machine with a total cost of 1.36 billion VND. Of which, the Da Nang Industrial Promotion Program alone supported 300 million VND. Mr. Phan Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of the Company said that with the investment in this machine, the unit will reduce 1 worker, while the output will increase 3 times. In addition, it also saves raw materials, the machine collects dust during the production process, reducing dust and emissions to the environment.
“Viet Czech Company is participating in the industrial promotion program to build a pilot model of cleaner production in industry with an industrial promotion support of 300 million VND. This is very practical support for businesses, especially in the current context where the demand for green transformation and digital transformation is urgent. Investing in this machinery will help businesses produce greener and cleaner products,” said Mr. Phan Thanh Minh, hoping that in the coming time, the company will comprehensively implement green production and continue to receive the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade as well as the city so that businesses can develop further, contributing to environmental protection.

Nguyen Hong Hung Business specializes in manufacturing outdoor and indoor equipment from bamboo. However, the scale of operation is still very small, and almost all stages are done manually.
In the 2024 industrial promotion program, the unit was supported to buy bamboo tube splitting machines and bamboo strip shaping machines. “The total investment cost for purchasing machinery is 192 million VND, of which we received 92.5 million VND from the industrial promotion program. This is a huge and important support for a very small business like ours,” said Mr. Nguyen Hong Hung - Owner of the household, adding: “Before investing in machinery, we only made about 1 bamboo table top per day, but now, we can make up to 20 - 30 products per day, greatly increasing productivity.”

During the actual inspection of machinery at each unit, Mr. Nguyen Van Tru - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City noted and hoped that businesses would put machinery and equipment into operation in the most optimal way. From this support, they will continue to expand production and business, increase productivity and quality, and at the same time pay attention to protecting the environment. The leader of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City also requested that businesses, in addition to production, pay more attention to branding issues such as designs, labels, and publication of product standards, etc.
“ The Department of Industry and Trade will continue to accompany businesses in innovating production machinery to increase product competitiveness, green production, and digital production. We do not only provide partial or one-time support. If businesses have feasible plans, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to support and have a long-term support program with businesses, production households, and cooperatives to develop, ” said Nguyen Van Tru, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City.
