By the end of 2025: Yen Bai will provide electricity to 100% of villages and hamlets in the province.

Việt NamViệt Nam23/03/2025

CTTĐT - Currently, in Yen Bai province, there are still 8 villages and hamlets in some communes of Mu Cang Chai, Tram Tau and Van Chan districts that do not have national grid electricity. The province is striving to provide grid electricity to all 100% of villages and hamlets in the province by the end of 2025.

The Rural Electrification Project from the National Grid of Yen Bai Province in the period 2014-2025 has provided electricity to 105/113 villages and hamlets in the province.

The Project on Rural Electricity Supply from the National Grid in Yen Bai Province for the period 2014-2025 was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in 2011 with a total investment of 526.6 billion VND, providing electricity to 113 villages and hamlets in the districts of Yen Binh, Luc Yen, Tran Yen, Van Yen, Van Chan, Tram Tau, and Mu Cang Chai. After the project implementation period, electricity has been provided to 105/113 villages and hamlets in the area, with about 11,272 households using the national grid, in the above 37 communes in the districts of Tran Yen, Van Yen, Yen Binh, Luc Yen, Van Chan, Tram Tau and Mu Cang Chai, with a total investment of 402.3 billion VND.

Currently, in Yen Bai province, there are 8 villages and hamlets that do not have access to the national grid, including: Giang Pang village, Lang Manh village (Sung Do commune); Nam Bieu village (Nam Muoi commune) of Van Chan district; De Cho hamlet (Ta Xi Lang commune, Tram Tau district); Hang Phu Loa hamlet, Sang Nhu hamlet (Mo De commune); Cang Dong hamlet (Lao Chai commune); Hang De Dai hamlet (Khao Mang commune) of Mu Cang Chai district, with about 734 households not using electricity. These are hamlets located in remote areas in the districts, with complex terrain, very difficult traffic, many construction sites do not have roads to transport raw materials, which greatly affects the progress of project investment. In addition, during the project implementation, there were some difficulties in compensation and site clearance because the power line passed through localities with many valuable trees such as cinnamon, pine... and the people did not support it, so the progress of site clearance for construction and power connection was slow.

For these villages and hamlets, the relevant departments and agencies are proactively coordinating and resolving arising problems and difficulties to speed up the project implementation progress, striving to complete the goal of providing electricity to 100% of communes, villages and hamlets by the end of 2025, with about 99.6% of households having access to electricity, ensuring the target set by the Resolution of the 18th Yen Bai Provincial Party Congress.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chien - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Yen Bai province: "In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with districts, towns, cities and Yen Bai Electricity Company to mobilize capital sources to invest in providing electricity to the above households to meet the demand for electricity supply to 100% of households, with the motto "No one is left behind", the Department of Industry and Trade will resolutely work with authorities at all levels to complete the above goal".

For difficulties and obstacles in site clearance for power lines passing through localities, it is necessary to do a good job of propaganda and mobilization of people in the project area to create all conditions to speed up site clearance, encourage households to voluntarily donate land, trees, and crops to join hands in implementing the project quickly and effectively, contributing to improving spiritual life, serving digital transformation, maintaining political stability, security, national defense and promoting socio-economic development in the area.
