Besides, the glutinous rice market has adjusted compared to yesterday. Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (dry) is 9,600 - 9,800 VND/kg, down 100 - 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Long An 3-month glutinous rice (dry) is 9,800 - 9,900 VND/kg, down 100 VND compared to yesterday.

In localities such as Dong Thap and Soc Trang, the supply is stable and the market warehouses buy regularly. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the supply is low, rice is selected, there is little good rice, and the price fluctuates.

In the rice market, rice prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of raw IR 504 Summer-Autumn rice has dropped to 10,750 - 10,800 VND/kg, down 100 VND/kg. Meanwhile, finished IR 504 rice is around 13,000 - 13,200 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of by-products of all kinds fluctuates between 5,800 - 8,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice is at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; the price of dry bran is at 5,800 - 5,900 VND/kg.

At retail markets, rice prices have not been adjusted for individual rice products. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; Jasmine rice is VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice is VND20,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates around VND15,000 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice is VND20,000 - 21,000/kg; Huong Jasmine rice is VND18,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is VND21,000/kg; common white rice is VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice is VND18,000 - 18,500/kg; Soc Thai rice is VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice is at 454 USD/ton, down 1 USD; 5% standard rice is at 567 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 537 USD/ton.

In the world market, Vietnam's rice export prices are currently rising to their highest level since late August due to the impact of floods.

Statistics from the General Department of Customs show that as of mid-September, Vietnam had exported nearly 6.5 million tons of rice of all kinds, earning 4.06 billion USD. Compared to the same period last year, rice exports increased slightly by 6% in volume but increased sharply by 21%.

The main reason is that this year's rice export price has increased sharply compared to the same period last year. Vietnam's rice import markets are still traditional markets such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and China.
