Gia Lai establishes Provincial Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation

The Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee include 3 comrades: Chau Ngoc Tuan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Rah Lan Chung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

The Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to consider and decide on policies and orientations on mechanisms and breakthrough solutions for the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province; directing, urging and coordinating with Party committees, units and localities to guide, inspect and supervise the implementation of resolutions and regulations of the Party and laws of the State in this field; reviewing mechanisms, policies and administrative procedures related to science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province to make recommendations and request competent authorities to consider and implement.

At the same time, direct Party committees and Party organizations under the Provincial Party Committee to inspect and strictly handle Party organizations and Party members who delay, obstruct or fail to carry out tasks and solutions for science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation when assigned by competent authorities or violate in the implementation; direct the orientation of information and propaganda on policies, orientations and breakthrough solutions.

Directing strict handling of acts of taking advantage of propaganda on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation to harm national and ethnic interests; organizing preliminary and final reviews and periodically or suddenly reporting to the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the situation, work results and implementation of functions, tasks and powers of the Steering Committee.
