Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of March 21, 2025 |
Experts predict that in the short term, domestic coffee prices are expected to remain stable, with the possibility of a slight increase if export demand increases. In the international market, Robusta and Arabica coffee prices are expected to continue to increase due to limited supply and high consumption demand.
According to experts, the reason for the increase in world coffee prices is because the Fed kept interest rates unchanged, reducing pressure on the USD, supporting the prices of goods in general, including coffee.
In addition, according to the latest report of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), global coffee output decreased by 20% compared to the initial forecast, especially in major producing countries such as Vietnam and Brazil; major markets such as the US, Europe and China continued to increase coffee imports to serve the food and beverage industry.
Coffee prices are also being supported by the Brazilian real rising to a four-and-a-half month high against the US dollar, which has discouraged Brazilian coffee producers from exporting.
The continued increase in world coffee prices is a positive sign for the Vietnamese coffee industry, especially in the context of global supply difficulties. However, some experts believe that domestic coffee prices may face slight downward pressure in the near future. The reason is that new supplies from the harvest are gradually being brought to the market, while global demand is showing signs of decreasing due to high prices. However, the decrease may not be too deep because the amount of supply from farmers to the market will not be massive.
Last year, the sharp increase in coffee prices helped farmers earn good incomes, thereby reducing financial pressure. This allowed farmers to proactively hold onto their products and not sell them immediately.
