On January 11, at 6:30 p.m., at Librairie Française Nam Phong Saigon (36 Bui Vien, District 1), the French Institute in Ho Chi Minh City will hold an exchange with French writer Dominique Forma. This event is open to the public.
The exchange will provide the public with a lot of useful information from Forma’s detective writing expertise to his Hollywood directing career. This is also an opportunity for the public to chat and discuss with the French writer about the differences in his works between cinema (through scripts) and mainstream literature…
Writer Forma was born in 1962 in Puteaux (France) and moved to California (USA) in 1992. In 2001, he made his film directorial debut with Scenes of the Crime . After returning to France in 2007, he published his first novel Skeud in February 2008. In 2014, he won the Sud Ouest prize for his work Hollywood Zero .
Writer Forma is also the winner of the La Route des Résidences (Artists in Residence) program organized by the French Institute in Vietnam and the French Institute in Cambodia. He spent three months in Cambodia and Vietnam to develop his new writing project.
With the support of the French Institute in Paris and the La Petite Escalère Foundation, the aim of La Route des Résidences is to increase support for intercultural projects and regional cooperation in different artistic fields.
