A large C-17 military aircraft of the Indian Air Force landed at Mae Sot International Airport in Tak Province, western Thailand, today, March 10, to bring back 283 Indian citizens. These are the number of Indian citizens rescued by the Karen State Border Guard Force (BGF) from gangs of telecommunications and cyber criminals in Myawaddy Province, Karen State, Myanmar.
The National Broadcasting and Television of Thailand (NBT) quoted information from Thai authorities as saying that India had sent a force of 15 of its staff to coordinate with Thai forces in bringing the above Indian citizens back to their country.
The Thai side mobilized the Ratchamanu Special Task Force of the army, security forces, immigration police, border guards and Tak provincial authorities to escort the bus convoy carrying Indian citizens from the Thailand-Myanmar Friendship Bridge 2 border gate to Mae Sot International Airport, Tak province as well as carry out procedures such as collecting data such as name, age, nationality.

The process for handling the Indian citizens group is also applied by Thailand in the same way as the treatment for the Chinese citizens group in repatriating, which is to apply a policy of refusing entry, then allowing them to leave Thailand on the same day.
As planned, on March 11, India will continue to coordinate with Thailand to bring 257 more citizens back home, bringing the total number of Indian citizens repatriated this time to 540.
Previously, Thailand cooperated with China in carrying out two repatriation trips of Chinese citizens , of which the first was 621 people and the second, which just ended on March 9, was 1,429 people.
