After more than 18 months of construction, up to now, the progress of the project by the joint venture of Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company - Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company - Hoa Binh 479 Company has followed the plan and set goals.

Specifically, up to this point, Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company has accelerated construction in Thuan An ward, completing bored piles for pillars T14-T16; T27-40 and pillars T35-T40; at the same time constructing pier bodies T14-T16, T27, T28, T31-T34 and launching SupperT girders with spans 37, 38, 39, 40 and 27/27 girders. Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company has participated in the construction and is completing bored piles for pillars T26-T13, T17-T22, T24-T26; pier bodies T6-T8, T26 and pouring concrete for Supper girders 65/118 girders...

Currently, the two main pillars T27 and T26 - located in the middle of the sea, about 218m apart, are the two most difficult items of the project. They have completed more than 50% of the plan, which is a good condition to speed up the progress of related items of the project in the area above sea level.

The capital allocated for the project up to this point is more than 1,252 billion VND; in 2023 alone it is 600 billion VND; of which more than 1,024 billion VND has been disbursed.

The current difficulty of the project is the construction site for the next phase, especially the two access roads to the bridge in Hai Duong and Thuan An communes have not been cleared.

Specifically, in Thuan An, there are more than 227 affected households up to this point, although they have been identified and reviewed, compensation prices have not been approved.

In Hai Duong commune, more than 600 graves are still affected. Although there has been a decision approving compensation of more than 8 billion VND, most local people have not received the money because they do not agree with the new burial location.

In addition, the project affects the aquaculture and agricultural areas of nearly 200 households; of which 80 households have not yet received compensation. The project contractors propose that local departments, agencies and functional units pay attention to resolving the issue to have a clean site for the construction of the road leading to the bridge.

The coastal road and bridge project across Thuan An estuary has a total investment (phase 1) of 2,400 billion VND, implemented over a period of 3 years. The route is 7,785m long; of which the bridge section is about 2.36km long, starting from Tam Giang bridge to the bridge across Thuan An estuary, ending at the QL49A - QL49B intersection in Thuan An ward (Hue city).
