Ms. Tran Thi Thu Uyen - a tourist from Hue said that she and her family came to Hoi An to travel and visit the ancient town. "My husband and I have planned to go to Hoi An many times but have not been able to. Taking advantage of the favorable weather after Tet, we made this trip," Ms. Uyen said.

Roadside shops are also bustling with tourists, and drink stalls and souvenir shops sell more goods thanks to that.

“I knew it would be crowded so I chose a weekday to avoid the crowds, but I didn’t expect there to be so many locals and tourists. I’ve been here for two days, visited many places and enjoyed many delicious dishes here,” said Nguyen Son, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam, the number of international visitors this year has increased sharply. During the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin this year, the total number of visitors and tourists staying in Quang Nam province reached 305,000, an increase of 35% over the same period in 2023.
