Mr. Y Luyen Nie Kdam, an Ede native, 80 years old this year, former Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, former Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Council of the 10th National Assembly... has always been a prestigious person in the ethnic community of the Central Highlands.
Mr. Y Luyen’s house is located opposite the Ea Tieu Commune People’s Committee headquarters, Cu Kuin District – one of two commune headquarters attacked and vandalized by a group of dangerous individuals in the early morning of June 11. Immediately after the incident, Mr. Y Luyen shared many things.
“This is a great crime, worthy of condemnation. They only know how to kill people, but do not know how to divide the great solidarity of the people. The argument that the people are divided and factionalized… is wrong, it is not like that,” former Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Y Luyen Nie Kdam emphasized.
Based on his long-time experience of paying special attention to ethnic issues in the Central Highlands in general and Dak Lak in particular, Mr. Y Luyen Nie Kdam said that the incident was quite surprising to the government and the people.
“I advise you not to listen to or follow bad people. You can rest assured to work and produce…. You must not listen to, believe in, or follow the incitement and enticement of those who incite and divide the great national unity bloc.
All levels and sectors must strengthen propaganda and mobilization work for people and compatriots; explain to people that the recent action is not good and very dangerous," he said.
According to Mr. Y Luyen, authorities at all levels need to further promote ideological education among the masses.
“We advise each other to unite, to fight against all plots and tricks of hostile forces, to fight against seduction and distortion. Our people are concerned with the issue of farming, we must be concerned with mass education. That is important,” the former Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, a prestigious person in the community of ethnic groups in the Central Highlands, said.
Referring to the incident that occurred in the early morning of June 11, Ms. H'Kim Hoa Byă - Head of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee said: "The authorities at all levels have been, are and will be actively mobilizing people to actively participate in production and business to improve the quality of life so that they will not be taken advantage of, lured, or enticed by bad guys...
I have directed the mass mobilization committees of the districts to regularly closely follow and grasp the thoughts, feelings and aspirations of the people, from which they can have directions and solutions to advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to have policies to stabilize people's lives, refute the false arguments of the forces that incite and take advantage of ethnic minorities.
