On the afternoon of May 23, the award ceremony for the Vietnamese women's team and the U.22 Vietnam team was held at the Vietnam Football Federation (Hanoi). At the 32nd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's team won the gold medal after a 2-0 victory over Myanmar in the final. This is the 8th gold medal of Vietnamese women's football in the history of the SEA Games. And the 4th consecutive gold medal at the SEA Games for Vietnamese women's football. At the 32nd SEA Games, the U.22 Vietnam team won the bronze medal.
At the award ceremony, the Vietnamese women's team received a total of 5.6 billion VND in bonuses, including 3.6 billion VND from the Vietnam Football Federation, 1 billion VND from sponsor Thaco, and 1 billion VND from sponsor Phong Phu Group. For the bronze medal achievement, the U.22 Vietnam team received 2.4 billion VND in bonuses from the Vietnam Football Federation.

The Vietnam women's team is gathering to prepare for the 2023 World Cup finals. The Vietnam women's team's plan from now until August is divided into 4 phases. Phase 1 from May 22 to June 4, the team will gather at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
On June 5, the Vietnamese women's team began their second training period in Germany with three friendly matches against Eintracht Frankfurt (June 10), Short Mainz (June 15) and the German women's team (June 24). During this time, the Vietnamese women's team will also make a short trip to Poland and have a friendly match with the Polish U.23 team on June 21.
After this training trip, the Vietnamese women's team will return home and continue training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center before moving to New Zealand on July 5. In this final stage, coach Mai Duc Chung and his students will have more than 10 days of training and friendly matches before officially embarking on the journey to the 2023 World Cup.
Meanwhile, U.22 Vietnam will gather to prepare for the 2023 Panda Cup friendly tournament in China. Coach Philippe Troussier and his team will meet U.22 Uzbekistan (2 p.m. June 14), U.22 Bahrain (2 p.m. June 16) and U.22 China (2 p.m. June 18). This is a useful tournament for U.22 Vietnam to prepare for the 2024 U.23 Asian qualifiers.
