Nguyen Thi Oanh hunts for record at Phu Quoc Marathon 2025

VTV Phu Quoc Marathon took place on April 6, coinciding with the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday. The Vietnam National Athletics Team had four members participating in the tournament, including athletes Nguyen Thi Oanh, Bui Thi Thu Ha, Nguyen Trung Cuong and Luong Duc Phuoc.

This is an event that perfectly combines sports, relaxation and music enjoyment. The organizers believe that it will bring high-class experiences to thousands of participating athletes.

VTV Phu Quoc Marathon is organized with the goal of making Phu Quoc a venue for international sports and entertainment events, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position on the world sports map, especially in the field of marathons and outdoor sports.

Through the race, the organizers hope to contribute to raising public awareness of protecting the marine environment and natural landscape of Phu Quoc, thereby contributing to the development of sustainable tourism. Kien Giang Province and Phu Quoc City hope that VTV Phu Quoc Marathon will successfully open a model of perfect combination of Sports - Culture - Tourism on Phu Quoc Pearl Island, Kien Giang Province.

The event will create a highlight and great experience for visitors to the Pearl Island while promoting the development of tourism economy for the City. The race has 4 distances of 42km, 21km, 10k 5km with the route assessed as airy, wide, with little slope and flat, passing through the resorts.

The tournament has a total cash prize of up to 650 million VND. In addition to the categories for men and women, there is also a category for foreign runners in the 21km and 42km distances.

Another special and attractive feature of the VTV Phu Quoc Marathon 2025 prize structure is the National Record Breaking category for 2 distances: 25 million VND for athletes breaking the National Record for the 21km distance and 50 million VND for the 42km distance. The tournament is expected to witness not only many new personal records, but also possibly even National Records.
