That is the goal of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op), determined to promote digital transformation in the fields of e-commerce and modern retail, at the conference to deploy key tasks in 2025 held on March 17.

With the above goal, e-commerce sales of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives in 2025 will increase by more than 30% compared to 2024.

Based on the analysis of the socio-economic development situation, retail market, and consumer trends, the unit has chosen the theme "Innovation, discipline - Strengthening digitalization" for 2025, striving for sales growth of 4% - 6%, profits exceeding 2024 and developing 154 new points of sale nationwide.

Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives received the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

To effectively achieve this goal, in the first half of 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives will launch a new e-commerce platform, helping to improve competitiveness in the retail market and effectively reach customers nationwide.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, General Director of Saigon Co.op said: In addition to digital transformation, the unit continues to expand its business scale, improve logistics and warehouse systems, etc., contributing to creating added value for consumers. The unit also launched environmental protection programs with initiatives such as "Green consumption" and "Green living", contributing to changing consumer awareness of environmentally friendly products.

In recent times, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives has continued to play the role of accompanying the cooperative movement; closely coordinating with the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance to carry out many activities to support domestic cooperatives.

A typical example is supporting the formation of a value chain for agricultural product consumption between the Saigon Co.op supermarket system and units, mainly agricultural products and OCOP products. Market stabilization and supply-demand connection activities are maintained by Saigon Co.op; price stabilization sales are enhanced, and nearly 500 mobile sales trips have been deployed to poor communes, remote areas, industrial parks, and export processing zones.

Saigon Co.op also pioneers and actively participates in environmental protection activities such as: "Green consumption" program, "Controlling the quality of goods in Ho Chi Minh City - Green tick of responsibility", "Green living" movement... contributing to changing the awareness of consumers and customers about using green, environmentally friendly products.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, acknowledged the contributions of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trade Cooperatives in the retail industry, providing stable, quality consumer goods and being responsible to the community. The city expects and always supports Saigon Co.op to strongly implement development strategies associated with digital transformation in the modern retail industry.

The city hopes that the unit will continue to improve product quality, expand its distribution network, increase the application of technology in management, operation and build a sustainable retail ecosystem, through links in the national supply chain.
