Digiworld announced September 16 as the last registration date for shareholders to receive 30% stock dividend and 5% stock dividend in cash.

Digiworld Joint Stock Company (Digiworld - stock code: DGW) announced that it is preparing to issue an additional 50.1 million shares to pay dividends. The exercise rate of rights is 30%, meaning that shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 30 new shares. This issuance increases the Company's charter capital from VND1,672 billion to VND2,173 billion. The last registration date for rights allocation is September 16.

Capital issued from undistributed profit after tax on audited consolidated financial statements for 2023.

In addition, the company set the date to pay the remaining 5% dividend in cash on September 16, meaning each share will receive VND500. With more than 167 million shares listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, it is estimated that the company will spend VND83.6 billion to pay dividends on September 25.

Created Future Company Limited is a major shareholder directly holding more than 53.5 million DGW shares (equivalent to 32.05% of charter capital) and will receive about 16 million newly issued shares and VND 27.7 billion.

On the stock exchange, DGW shares today faced selling pressure in line with the general trend, losing 1% to 61,300 VND. However, compared to the price range at the beginning of the year (52,300 VND), this stock has increased by about 17%. The volume of successful transactions in the last 10 sessions was more than 1.1 million units.

In the first half of this year, Digiworld achieved a net profit of VND9,993 billion, up 16.8% over the same period. Gross profit was over VND852 billion, gross profit margin reached 8.5%.

After deducting expenses, the Company reported pre-tax profit of nearly VND232 billion and after-tax profit of about VND181 billion, up 6% and 7% respectively over the same period last year.

This year, the company targets revenue of VND 23,000 billion and after-tax profit of VND 490 billion, up 22% and 35% respectively compared to 2023. After half a year, the company has completed 43.4% of the revenue plan and 37% of the profit target.

At the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held in April, the Board of Directors of the Company approved the 2023 dividend payment plan at a rate of 35%, of which 30% is in shares and 5% is in dividends. In addition, the Company plans to issue 2 million shares under the Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP). The issuance price of ESOP shares is VND 10,000/share, and the implementation period is in the third and fourth quarters of 2024.

In a report published half a month ago by Bao Viet Securities Joint Stock Company, a group of experts forecast Digiworld's net revenue in 2024 at VND21,474 billion, up 14.1% year-on-year. Profit after tax reached VND456 billion, up 28.6% year-on-year.

The above assessment comes from the expectation that the mobile phone market will improve in Q3 and Q4/2024 when the new iPhone is launched. The laptop and tablet segment is expected to grow in Q3 thanks to the back-to-school season as well as the low base from 2023. From Q3/2024, Digiworld will start distributing MSI gaming laptops (a major brand in the gaming segment, accounting for 18% market share) and will continue to strengthen the growth of this industry.

Bao Viet Securities' analysis team recommends buying DGW shares with a target price of VND68,000 (up 11% compared to the current market price) by mid-2025.

The Company's total assets as of the end of the second quarter were over VND 7,355 billion, a slight decrease compared to the beginning of the period. Liabilities were approximately VND 4,547 billion, most of which were short-term debts. Owner's equity was over VND 2,808 billion, and undistributed profit after tax reached VND 1,048 billion.
