To create this work, the author came up with the idea himself, painstakingly collected and selected each tree stump from everywhere for nearly 5 years.

This is a perennial tree with good, stable wood quality. The core is brown and durable, not affected by termites, convenient for carving as well as long-term storage.

The author confided that the time he spent creating the work was the nights when he had to wake up at 4am to think about the idea and every detail. 'Dong Hai Long Chau' is an extremely spontaneous sculpture and there was no sketch or design before starting work.
