At the end of April, the test run of the elevated section of the Nhon urban railway line was completed.

According to the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board, it is expected that by the end of April 2024, the trial operation of the elevated section of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway project will be completed.

This is the final step in the 8 steps of testing and system calibration before putting the project into commercial operation.

It is expected that on April 26, the test run of the elevated section of the urban railway from Nhon to Hanoi station will be completed.

According to the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board, the trial operation is a simulation of the route operation without passengers with the aim of checking the operational readiness of the entire system. The trial operation will be carried out with 57 scenarios within 7 weeks, starting from March 11, 2024 and ending on April 26, 2024 with the following activities: Checking the train schedule; testing services under operating conditions; verifying the completeness and effectiveness of operating and maintenance instructions as well as emergency procedures; ensuring that customer care and commercial procedures are well prepared with well-trained staff and available and effective equipment; integrating emergency and safety services in preparation for commercial operation; allowing operating and maintenance personnel to gain initial experience in real conditions...

Up to now, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board has directed Systra Consultant and contractors to complete the installation, testing and coordinate with Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd. to train operational and maintenance personnel to be ready for the trial operation of the elevated section.

In particular, the construction and testing of the system of the bid packages have all been completed, Systra Consulting has issued the Handover and Acceptance Certificate for each bid package (TOC). The consultant has completed training for all personnel to ensure the trial operation. The Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board is working with the consultant to have a plan to train additional personnel to compensate for the personnel who are on leave, on maternity leave, etc.

Currently, the operation and maintenance procedures have been temporarily approved by the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board for the trial operation phase. These procedures will continue to be completed during the trial operation phase before commercial operation.

Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board, Systra Consultant, contractors, Hanoi Metro and Hanoi Department of Transport basically completed the on-site asset inventory in February 2024, ready for handover according to regulations, and at the same time coordinated with contractors and Systra Consultant to carry out system safety certification, inspection consulting, and system safety certification according to plan.
