The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province commended 12 students who won first prize in the national high school student selection competition for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
On the morning of February 11, at the regular meeting of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, awarded 12 students with excellent achievements, winning first prize in the national high school excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year.
Notably, in this exam, Bac Ninh province had 81/86 contestants winning prizes, accounting for 94.19%, ranking first nationwide in terms of the percentage of contestants winning prizes and the percentage of contestants winning First Prize (with 12/86 contestants, accounting for 13.95%). In terms of the number of First Prizes, Bac Ninh ranked second only to Hanoi (Hanoi had 18 First Prizes but had 260 contestants, accounting for 6.92%).

At the regular meeting, Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan awarded Certificates of Merit to students of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, including: Nguyen Cong Vinh, class 12 Physics, won First Prize for Valedictorian in Physics; Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi, class 12 History, won First Prize for Valedictorian in History;
Nguyen Hong Van, class 12 Geography, won First Prize for Valedictorian in Geography; Luu Hong Phong, class 12 English, won First Prize for Valedictorian in English; Ngo Quang Minh, class 12 Chemistry, won First Prize for Chemistry; Nguyen Khanh Phuong, class 12 History, won First Prize for History;
Nguyen Tran Hieu, class 12 Physics, won first prize in Physics; Ta Ngoc Minh, class 11 Physics, won first prize in Physics; Nguyen Ta Quang Minh, class 11 Information Technology, won first prize in Information Technology; Nguyen Thanh Thao, class 12 History, won first prize in History; Nguyen Mai Phuong, class 11 History, won first prize in History; Vu Bao Ngan, class 12 Geography, won first prize in Geography.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan commended the achievements of the Education and Training sector, congratulated students, parents, managers and teachers who trained excellent students to win prizes in the national high school excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province affirmed that the award-winning students are the active core in spreading the learning movement and improving the quality of education in the area. The Chairman of the People's Committee also hopes that teachers will continue to devote their intelligence and capacity to nurturing excellent students, continuing the tradition of culture and education of Bac Ninh.
Provincial leaders awarded Certificates of Merit to students who won First Prize in the National High School Student Competition for the 2024-2025 school year.
Previously, on January 18, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) announced the results of the national high school excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year, taking place on December 25 and 26, 2024.
Accordingly, the whole country has a total of 6,482 candidates registered to take the exam at 68 examination councils, an increase of 663 candidates compared to the 2023-2024 school year.
Bac Ninh province had 86 candidates taking all 9 subjects (Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English), of which 81/86 candidates won prizes (including: 12 First prizes, 34 Second prizes, 24 Third prizes, 11 Encouragement prizes), accounting for 94.19%, leading 63 provinces and cities in the rate of candidates winning prizes. The candidates were all students of Bac Ninh Specialized High School.
In particular, Bac Ninh province has 4/14 national valedictorians in Physics, History, Geography and English; 02/15 national runners-up in Chemistry and History.
According to the results of the national high school excellent student exam, in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years, Bac Ninh ranked first nationwide in the percentage of prize-winning candidates; in the 2023-2024 school year, Bac Ninh ranked second nationwide in the percentage of prize-winning candidates; the 2024-2025 school year is considered the most excellent and comprehensive ever of the Bac Ninh education and training sector, with many new achievements recorded.
The above outstanding results further demonstrate the attention of Bac Ninh province, and the tireless efforts of the Bac Ninh Education and Training Department, of Bac Ninh Specialized High School, especially the teachers who directly teach the review and the candidates of the teams.
