Foreign Trade University will have a new campus in Bac Ninh

According to the detailed planning task, Foreign Trade University, Bac Ninh campus will be located in Tu Son city with a planning area of ​​about 33.66 hectares.

Permanent Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai has just signed Decision No. 127/QD-UBND on the task of detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 for Foreign Trade University.

According to the decision, Foreign Trade University is an institution that trains high-quality human resources for the country, but the facilities and campuses at the three campuses in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh are still limited.

In fact, the Hanoi campus has about 15,000 students but has no soccer field, swimming pool, or small dormitory, meeting only a very small portion of the demand.

The facility in Ho Chi Minh City does not have a sports field or dormitory. At the facility in Quang Ninh, the dormitory is small and dilapidated. The working space for lecturers in some departments, offices, and divisions is still small.

It is expected that in the next 10 years, the whole school will reach about 30,000 students and develop many majors, diversify training methods...

Therefore, the detailed planning will serve as the basis for the project to expand the training facilities of the Foreign Trade University in Bac Ninh province.

Accordingly, the detailed planning area is Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city. This place is about 30km from the main campus of Foreign Trade University in Hanoi, travel time by car is about 60 minutes.

This is a convenient location adjacent to many provincial roads 287, 295, 295C (including the future urban railway line) and many projects under implementation. This area has an area of ​​about 33.66ha.

Phase 1 from 2026 - 2030, total training target is about 5,500 students.

By phase 2 from 2030 - 2040, the total training target will increase to about 12,000 students (not including more than 800 staff and lecturers).

It is expected that the Foreign Trade University Bac Ninh campus will have full facilities such as administrative area - headquarters, lecture halls, library, dormitory, hall, off-campus sports center, multi-purpose hall, park, etc.

The funding source is from the school's financial plan and other legal sources. The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigns the progress of the detailed planning project to no more than 6 months from the date of signing the contract with the consulting unit.

In addition to the Foreign Trade University, the second campus project of Hanoi Law University is being built on an area of ​​nearly 28 hectares in Tu Son city with a total investment of more than 1,700 billion VND.

The investment project to build Hanoi University of Pharmacy, campus 2 in Vo Cuong ward (Bac Ninh city) or Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, campus 2 in Dong Nguyen ward (Tu Son town) is being paid attention to, urged and coordinated by Bac Ninh province.
