Changing the purpose of 255 hectares of forest to implement the infrastructure project of Cam Lien Industrial Park

Accordingly, the total area decided by the People's Committee of Quang Binh province to change the purpose of forest use is 255.09 hectares of planted forest. Of which, 185.37 hectares of forest outside the forestry planning are of protective forest origin and nearly 69.71 hectares of forest outside the forestry planning are of production forest origin.

The location of the converted land area is 122 lots in plot 5 - Sub-area 396C, Cam Thuy commune; plot 7 - Sub-area 374C, plot 4 - Sub-area 396B, Thanh Thuy commune; plot 5 - Sub-area 374A, plots 1, 2 - Sub-area 396A, Ngu Thuy Bac commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.

Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee requests Capella Quang Binh Investment Company Limited to change the purpose of forest use to another purpose in the correct location, scope and area decided by the competent authority.

It is known that the Cam Lien Industrial Park infrastructure investment and business project in Cam Thuy, Thanh Thuy and Ngu Thuy Bac communes (Le Thuy district) was approved by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on behalf of the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1388/QD-TTg on November 15, 2024.

The project is invested by Capella Quang Binh Investment Company Limited (under Capella Real Estate Joint Stock Company) with a scale of 450 hectares and a total investment of over 2,200 billion VND.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Chu Duc Tuan, Director of Capella Quang Binh Investment LLC, said that the company is currently focusing on implementing procedures related to site clearance and handover to soon complete all conditions for applying for a construction permit, and promptly start the project in September 2025 according to the direction of the leaders of Quang Binh province.

“The conversion of 255 hectares of forest is the legal basis for the conversion of land and liquidation of assets on land within the project. The total forest area is mainly managed by the organization, while the area owned by individuals only accounts for a small part. Currently, the main important task is still site clearance. Once the land is available, other procedures will be carried out to obtain a construction permit before the project can begin,” Mr. Tuan shared.
