The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province has just issued a document requesting the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Don town to cancel the disciplinary decision to reprimand Mr. Truong Dinh Le - Principal of Quang Tho Secondary School. At the same time, he directed the Department of Internal Affairs of Ba Don town to advise on organizing a review of Mr. Le according to the nature and level of his shortcomings.

Previously, in September 2023, the People's Committee of Ba Don town established a team to verify an anonymous complaint against Mr. Truong Dinh Le.

According to Official Dispatch No. 311 of the Department of Education and Training of Ba Don Town, it is absolutely required not to collect admission fees, but Mr. Le has directed to collect admission fees for grade 6 for the 2023-2024 school year at 50,000 VND/student. Based on the above assessment and the proposal of the disciplinary council, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Don Town has issued a disciplinary decision to reprimand Mr. Truong Dinh Le.

Mr. Le complained about the disciplinary decision of the People's Committee of Ba Don town. However, Ba Don town still maintained its stance of not changing the disciplinary form, so Mr. Le sent a complaint to the People's Committee of Quang Binh province.

In June 2024, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province established a verification team to resolve Mr. Truong Dinh Le's complaint. After working with members of the admissions council and the executive board of the parents' association, the verification team agreed on the following content: The collection of 50,000 VND was according to the proposal of the executive board of the parents' association to serve the admission work and complete the records of the admitted students.

The 50,000 VND is used to pay for taking photos 25,000 VND/student, photocopying documents, printing report cards 8,000 VND/student, making reader cards 10,000 VND/student, health monitoring books 5,000 VND/student...

After the conclusion of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Don town, the school also returned this amount of money to the students in full. The verification team of Quang Binh province found that Mr. Truong Dinh Le's actions did not violate the provisions of the law on collection, payment, and use of fees and charges and the instructions of the Department of Education and Training of Ba Don town in Official Dispatch No. 311, so the application of disciplinary reprimand against Mr. Truong Dinh Le was not appropriate.
