Nhon Trach Bridge across Dong Nai River, the largest bridge in the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, has been closed, many sections of the approach road have been paved and the remaining items are being accelerated.
On the afternoon of March 19, Dong Nai province leaders inspected and urged to speed up the construction progress of component project 1A and component 3 of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 through Dong Nai province.
Construction progress is very good, over 95% of output, technical traffic opening on April 30.
According to Mr. Tran Van Thi, Director of My Thuan Project Management Board (investor) , component project 1A including Nhon Trach bridge and access roads at both ends of the bridge, the total output is nearly 90%.
Of which, Nhon Trach Bridge across Dong Nai River, connecting Thu Duc City (HCMC) with Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province is the largest bridge in the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, with a production capacity of over 95%. The bridge was closed on the night of March 18.
The approach roads at both ends of the bridge are also progressing well, reaching about 76% of the volume. Many sections of the road have been paved, while some sections are under construction. "The project is expected to be technically opened to traffic on April 26-28," said Mr. Thi.
Mr. Thi said that there is still a shortage of 60,000 cubic meters of stone, and the unit would like to take the stone order from Tan Cang mine because it had previously signed a contract with this mine. Regarding land, the unit also requested the locality to support about 60,000 cubic meters to meet the construction requirements. The Board also requested the investor of the component project 3 section through Dong Nai to connect a section of road to facilitate the traffic of the component project 1A.
Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and construction units who have worked day and night to speed up the project's progress.

Component 1A project has a total length of 8.22km, passing through Dong Nai for 6.3km and Ho Chi Minh City for 1.92km. The project has a total investment of 6,955 billion VND, of which Nhon Trach bridge is 2.6km long, phase 1 scale includes 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for mixed vehicles with a total investment of about 1,800 billion VND.
Dong Nai provincial leaders and functional units gave gifts to encourage construction workers.
When the entire project is put into operation and connected to component project 3 through Dong Nai, it will lead to Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, sharing the load with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway and National Highway 51.
Currently, the contractor has mobilized many motorbikes and equipment to strengthen the construction of the access road as well as the section of Ring Road 3 through Dong Nai.
Similarly, at the Beltway 3 component project, according to the report from the Dong Nai Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor), this section is 11.2km long, with output reaching over 26% so far. Of which, package 26 reached 21.4% of the contract value, package 29 reached 30.2%, and package 32 reached 22.7%.
This section starts at Km 0+000 in Vinh Thanh commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province. The end point is at Nhon Trach bridge in Long Tan commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province.
The total investment capital of over 2,500 billion VND is expected to be completed in 2025 and put into operation from 2026.
Some workers are digging and filling the roadbed.
According to the Project Management Board, the site is now basically ready for construction. The Project Management Board proposes to relocate the technical infrastructure soon.
The project needs about 0.462 million m3 of stone, the total volume brought to the construction site is about 0.014 million m3, reaching 3% of the total construction stone demand of the project. The remaining volume is about 0.448 million m3.
Regarding sand for filling, the project's demand is 0.498 million m3. Vinh Long, Tien Giang, and Ben Tre provinces have committed to supplying the entire Belt 3 at 13 mines with a reserve of 10 million m3. Up to now, 6/13 mines have completed licensing procedures. Due to the slow progress of completing licensing, the mines have limited exploitation capacity, so the allocation to the construction site is not much.
Mr. Ngo The An, Director of the Project Management Board, reported to the inspection team.
According to the reporter, currently at the construction site of component 3, the contractors have also mobilized many motorbikes, equipment, and personnel to speed up the progress. The bridge section at intersection 25C has also launched many girder spans, and is constructing piers. The route section is also being excavated and filled with soil. Trucks are constantly coming in and out at the construction site.
Workers are speeding up construction of the bridge at intersection 25C, and the bridge is now gradually being completed.
At this project, Mr. Vo Tan Duc affirmed that Dong Nai province does not lack soil and rock, so the Project Management Board and the contractor work with the units on reserves to provide timely supply. In addition, they must work overtime day and night to increase progress because there are no more land issues.
"Speed up the construction of the frontage road through intersection 25B to connect with component project 1A in time for technical traffic opening on April 30," Mr. Duc requested.
