The story of the extraordinary will to live of the armless boy Nguyen Minh Phu

Born and raised in a farming family in Tho Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district, Nghe An), Minh Phu was born without two arms due to the effects of Agent Orange from his father.

The boy grew up with will and determination, overcoming all prejudices, proving that he could do everything despite his physical disability.

Nguyen Minh Phu spreads the will to live to people with disabilities through his own story told in the program Love Station , which will air on June 24 on VTV1.

Appeared in the show Love Station ,   Young man Nguyen Minh Phu impressed with his confidence, love of life and willingness to accept the challenge of "threading a needle" with his feet from MC Minh Hang.

At the age of 6, Minh Phu also longed to go to school like many of his peers. Understanding that feeling, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Loc (Phu's father - PV) became his son's teacher, teaching Phu to write with his feet. Finally, after 3 years of hard practice, Phu not only wrote fluently with his feet but also had surprisingly beautiful handwriting.

Accompanying the determined young man are Phu's parents: Mr. Nguyen Quynh Loc and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh.

At the age of 9, Phu entered first grade and began a journey of studying, working, and contributing with great effort. For 12 consecutive years, Nguyen Minh Phu was an excellent student and continuously received many meaningful awards.

In the 2010-2011 admission season, armless student Nguyen Minh Phu was admitted directly to two universities: University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and Hong Bang International University.

Sharing about Nguyen Minh Phu's 9-year journey of studying at 2 universities, we cannot help but mention the great sacrifice of his father who had to temporarily leave his hometown to follow his son to Ho Chi Minh City to fulfill his dream. During the nearly 10 years the family was separated, Phu's mother, when at home, had times of illness, difficulties, and hardships but always silently endured, encouraging her son to continue on the chosen path.

It is the great support of his parents that has given Nguyen Minh Phu great strength to strive to live better and study better. " There is a saying that I really like, the speed of my success must be faster than the speed of my parents' aging ", said the armless boy Minh Phu, and shared that he always kept in mind that he must try many times harder to succeed soon and take care of his parents.

After graduating from university, Nguyen Minh Phu worked many jobs, experienced many difficulties, and failed many times, but never gave up on his dream. Encouraged and inspired by his mother about healthy and scientific eating solutions, Nguyen Minh Phu experienced it himself and found his passion to become a researcher, consulting on healthy, nutritious meals and taking care of the community's health.

After a period of seriously pursuing this job, Nguyen Minh Phu has achieved many successes and hopes to spread positive life energy, helping many people live happily and healthily.

Coming to the studio of Love Station , the young man Nguyen Minh Phu gave his mother a hand-embroidered scarf with the words "I love you, Mom" ​​and gave his father a shirt with buttons sewn on it by his skillful feet. Although he did not say any words of love, the small, sincere actions of the son made his father and mother touched and proud.

With what he has done, Nguyen Minh Phu has proven that people with disabilities can stand on their own two feet. If life takes away the health of victims of Agent Orange, it gives them an extraordinary will to live, overcome all difficulties and become typical examples in everyday life.
