National Economics University determined to build Branch 2 in Ha Nam province

Nam Cao University Area was approved by the Government in Decision No. 1748/QD-TTg dated September 27, 2013, located in Duy Tien town and Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province, with an area of ​​754 hectares, training scale of 50,000 students, 4,000 teachers and about 30,000 urban residents with the goal of meeting the training needs of technical human resources at university, college, intermediate vocational levels and the requirement of improving the quality of university education for the Red River Delta and the Hanoi capital region in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country; contributing to adjusting the network of universities and colleges for the Hanoi Capital region and the Red River Delta region and relocating a number of universities and colleges from the inner city of Hanoi to planning areas, in accordance with the planning for building a system of universities and colleges in the Hanoi Capital region by 2025, with a vision to 2050.

At the meeting, Ha Nam province agreed to allocate 40 hectares of clean land in Nam Cao University Area to the National Economics University and allocate 800 billion VND from the local budget to support the National Economics University in building Branch 2 in Ha Nam province.

Comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Nam province spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Nam province, said that with the goal of bringing universities to invest in the province soon, Ha Nam province is ready to accompany and support the Board of Directors of the National Economics University in terms of procedures, premises, design and construction. To create favorable conditions for the school, the province invests in social housing to support teachers to live in so they can teach with peace of mind and student dormitories.

Comrade Truong Quoc Huy added that with its potential and advantages, Ha Nam province is building itself into a high-quality medical center; a center for universities and a center for entertainment, tourism and services of the whole country, ready to attract investors and universities.

Ha Nam province has 10/16 industrial parks in operation with over 100 thousand workers. The province is focusing on building social housing, supporting land clearance and reducing land rent for investors. Ha Nam province has also selected quality and prestigious universities to invest in building schools in the province such as: University of Construction, FPT University...

Comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected the construction site of the National Economics University at Nam Cao University Area.

In recent times, the province has dedicated 57% of its resources to invest in connecting Ha Nam province's traffic with the national traffic system. The province's traffic system is planned in a chessboard pattern. In particular, the province has implemented a project by Sun Group, which will attract about 10 million tourists in many suitable forms. Bach Mai and Viet Duc hospitals, branch 2 in Ha Nam, will be put into operation by the end of 2025, and the Bach Mai school complex at Nam Cao University will be started.

Speaking at the meeting, Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, Director of the National Economics University, thanked Comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of Ha Nam province for their attention, welcoming the delegation, as well as creating the best conditions for the National Economics University to have the opportunity to invest in building Branch 2 in the province.

The Director of the National Economics University believes that when the second branch of the university comes into operation, it will be an opportunity for teachers and students to have a good environment to study and research. This is a good opportunity for students to experience from research in school to practice at factories in the province.

The school is committed to taking the next steps to complete Branch 2. This is also the wish and expectation of the school's teachers and students.
