Speaking to Dan Tri reporters on the morning of September 14, Mr. Vu Ngoc Oanh, Deputy General Director of BOT Phap Van - Cau Gie Joint Stock Company, said that vehicles can now travel through this highway.
However, because the road is still flooded, vehicles are moving at slow speeds, leading to local congestion in Thuong Tin district. Mr. Oanh recommends that cars only use lane 1 (close to the median strip) to avoid flooding.

“The water is gradually receding from the highway surface. However, many service roads and underpasses are still flooded and impassable,” Mr. Oanh shared.
The pumping station in Van Binh commune (Thuong Tin) is running at maximum capacity to drain water for the highway. If it does not rain, it is expected that tomorrow traffic will be able to move normally on the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway.
Speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Le Hong Diep - Head of Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Management Department, Vietnam Road Administration, said that after the storm, the expressways Hanoi - Lao Cai, Hanoi - Thai Nguyen, Hanoi - Hai Phong, Cau Gie - Ninh Binh basically operated normally.
The Phap Van – Cau Gie Expressway is currently congested due to flooded lanes and limited traffic. A working group from the Roads Department is also present there to direct the handling of the aftermath.
