Some developments related to the Russia-Ukraine war:
Worrying warning for Ukraine
Western weapons systems supplied to Ukraine are rapidly becoming obsolete amid the many military innovations developed during the conflict, the Atlantic magazine reported.
“ The pace of innovation on the battlefield has left some long-awaited Western weapons systems virtually obsolete by the time they are delivered ,” the Atlantic said.
The authors of the article note that any new equipment of the Ukrainian forces is met with resistance from Russia, and Russian innovations appear at such a rapid pace that they surpass the US and NATO defense industries. The journalists cite the example of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, the effectiveness of which continues to decline significantly during the conflict.

Evacuation routes out of Vuhledar have been cut off, while food, ammunition and fuel are running low, a Ukrainian soldier said.
" The situation in Vuhledar is very difficult. Russian attacks are coming from three directions ," said the unnamed Ukrainian soldier.
Russia raids Ukrainian train carrying 1,300 tons of ammunition
The Russian Defense Ministry said the country's armed forces launched an Iskander-M missile attack on a railway unloading site in the village of Kazanka in the Mykolaiv region.
According to Russia, the train was believed to be carrying up to 1,300 tons of ammunition, enough for several weeks of fighting.
“ Twelve train cars carrying ammunition, including Western-made ammunition, were destroyed in a missile strike ,” the Russian Defense Ministry stressed.
According to military reporters, the train was carrying between 840 and 1,300 tons of ammunition. This amount is equivalent to the amount destroyed in a recent attack on a large ammunition depot in Toropets, central Russia.
Ukraine talks about the situation on the front line
President Zelensky recently admitted that the situation on the front lines of the conflict with Russia is "very, very difficult" and that Ukrainian forces must do everything possible in the autumn.
“ Reports on each frontline area, current and future capabilities and specific tasks show that the situation is very, very difficult ,” Zelensky said, stressing that “everything that can be done this fall we must achieve.”
