On the afternoon of March 6, in Quy Nhon city, the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Dinh province and the Binh Dinh Timber and Forest Products Association jointly organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 International Outdoor Fashion Fair (Q-FAIR 2025).

Taking place from March 6 to 9, Q-FAIR 2025 has a scale of more than 1,200 booths of more than 100 domestic wood industry enterprises in the fields of interior and exterior furniture, wood processing machinery, components, accessories... and partners, businesses from many large markets in the world such as the EU, the United States, Japan and some potential markets; displaying and introducing outdoor products, services and advanced technology and machinery in the wood industry.

Speaking at the fair, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee - said that in 2024, the wood industry has affirmed its key role when export turnover reached nearly 1.1 billion USD, an increase of 15% compared to 2023, accounting for about 62% of the total export turnover of the whole province.

In recent years, Binh Dinh province has actively encouraged wood processing enterprises to diversify markets; apply advanced technology; use wood from sustainably managed forests, with FSC certification, etc. At the same time, trade promotion activities have received increasing attention and investment with policies to support enterprises to participate in domestic and foreign fairs and exhibitions in accordance with reality, contributing to strengthening activities to build and develop brands and product labels to increase added value and find markets for product consumption.

“Q-FAIR 2025 not only promotes trade in the wood industry but also contributes to promoting the image of Binh Dinh - a dynamic, friendly destination with great development potential. The fair will continue to become an important event in the province's wood industry development strategy, towards a green, sustainable industry, applying advanced technology and digital transformation, ” said Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh.

According to Mr. Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the Vietnamese wood industry in general and the Binh Dinh wood industry in particular are facing many great opportunities for strong breakthroughs. In particular, the Binh Dinh wood industry has advantages in terms of highly skilled human resources, a closely linked business ecosystem and active support from local authorities in developing production and logistics infrastructure. However, besides great opportunities, the Vietnamese wood industry also faces many challenges.

To take advantage of opportunities and overcome challenges, the Vietnamese wood industry needs to focus on a number of important solutions. One of them is developing the domestic market. “ Quy Nhon 2025 International Outdoor Fashion Fair is an important event, creating opportunities for businesses to connect, find partners, expand markets and update the latest trends in the industry. I believe that, with the participation of many domestic and foreign businesses, the fair will bring many good results, contributing positively to the development of the Vietnamese wood industry ,” said Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency Bui Quang Hung.

Mr. Le Minh Thien - Chairman of Binh Dinh Timber and Forest Products Association - said that in the context of a volatile market, many strict standards on legal wood, as well as difficulties in the domestic market, the business community of wood and outdoor export products has quickly and continuously innovated, optimized production processes, improved quality, aimed at the uniqueness of products, services, flexibility, creativity in business and factory management to attract customers, expand the market, affirm the position of the Vietnamese wood industry in the world. In particular, Q-FAIR is a creative space, a playground, a unique outdoor market for wood businesses and industries supporting the wood industry to promote trade, find partners, customers and cooperation opportunities, and to renew each business, each entrepreneur, creating breakthroughs in the Vietnamese wood processing industry.

In addition to interior and exterior booths, Binh Dinh province also has an area to display and introduce typical products of the province.
