In line with Resolution No. 29 of the Provincial Party Committee on developing tourism into an important economic sector, the Provincial People's Committee's Tourism Development Project to 20230, Resolution No. 09 of the Provincial People's Council stipulating a number of policies to support tourism development in the province, Resolution No. 88 of the Provincial People's Council approving the Project on building cultural houses for villages and residential groups associated with sports grounds and campuses in the province; Project on Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development, the Provincial Working Group led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong has recently surveyed and inspected the reality of culture, sports and tourism in 6 districts in the province.
Through the reports of the leaders of Son Duong, Yen Son, Ham Yen, Chiem Hoa, Na Hang, Lam Binh districts and the field survey and inspection, the Working Group assessed that the districts have focused on leadership, direction, and development of programs and plans to organize the implementation of the Resolution and Project of the province. The advantages and potentials of the locality have been initially planned and built, contributing to the diversification of tourism services and products, shaping a number of new tourism products...
However, through the survey and inspection, the Working Group also found that some localities were not resolute in their direction and management; tourism planning and development were slow, unsystematic, scattered, spontaneous, and fragmented when resources were limited. Tourism products were still monotonous, repetitive, lacking in their own identity, lacking competitiveness, and had not yet built outstanding tourism products with their own characteristics. Architectural space and environmental landscapes were affected by human impact and market economic trends.
Due to limited resources, some mechanisms and policies on land allocation to tourism businesses are being removed to attract more large investors. The inspection of tourist boats in the Na Hang-Lam Binh ecological lake area faces many difficulties due to means and general regulations.
The rate of tourists staying in the area, the length of stay, and international visitors are still low. The reason is that accommodation facilities and cultural tourism villages are not guaranteed, synchronized, and not linked to key routes, points, and tourist areas. OCOP products, gifts, and souvenirs have few unique products, bearing the symbols and unique features of the locality and ethnicity...
At the meeting, delegates discussed and made recommendations to the People's Committees of districts and the Provincial People's Committee on issues under their authority regarding planning, construction, and implementation of a number of contents in the fields of culture, sports, and tourism in the area.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong assigned relevant departments, branches, districts and cities, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to perform their roles well.
He requested to review the goals and targets of resolutions, programs, plans, projects and proposals on culture, sports and tourism, emphasizing tourism, in order to have advice, proposals, and solutions to overcome difficulties, and provide fundamental, scientific and practical solutions, contributing to promoting rapid and sustainable tourism development and completing the major goals set by the province.
