On July 17, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2024 high school graduation exam scores. From July 18, candidates began registering their university admission wishes. It is not uncommon for students to feel confused because they do not know how to choose so as not to "lose their turn" or "unfairly" fail the university entrance exam.

In my opinion, parents should not force their children to enroll in schools that do not match their wishes, but should also advise them to consider their strengths when choosing a school, to avoid "burning the rice and burning the popcorn" because they do not measure their own strength. They should rely on their children's wishes, not just choose a major they are familiar with in the hope of having a job after graduation. Studying a major they do not like, or following the crowd is harmful to children.

It should be understood that “learning to become a free person”. Freedom of thought, not imposed by others. Freedom to carry out each step of the plan that you have set out to move towards your long-term goals. Freedom to create your own happiness in life. At the same time, freedom to choose a career, especially a career that is suitable for one of the eight intelligences that have been classified by scientists.

The digital age creates rapid changes in all professions in society. If the individual capacity of each young person cannot keep up, they will fall behind and may be eliminated according to the law of competition. However, businesses not only require young people in terms of expertise but also need many soft skills. Therefore, young people should not refuse any opportunity, always be proactive to create opportunities for themselves. For new graduates, dynamism and practical experience are essential. That will help you find more job opportunities and know your limitations to change.

"In the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, there are many challenges, especially the fact that anyone can become unemployed. But there are also many opportunities if the young generation has the will to strive, is healthy, has foreign languages, and understands information technology. Above all, they need to 'transform', create motivation for themselves to adapt to the times."

In recent years, many companies no longer focus too much on recruiting people with degrees, instead they will evaluate candidates through the interview process. Employers are willing to choose candidates who meet the company's criteria and accept formal retraining.

I often say that the product of education is people, a special type of commodity, so it is completely different from the way normal commodities operate. Education has a special mission, unlike other economic sectors, the product of the education sector is people and the skills that education provides.

In the trend of globalization, young people will have to face competitive pressure right on their "home ground". When having the opportunity, young people should arrange time to visit businesses, learn, and accumulate more experience. However, many students often have illusions about their degrees and abilities.

Our country has reached the milestone of 100 million people, has a tradition of loving learning, this will be a fertile education market for foreign investors. The key here is product quality, if the product is of low quality, it will be difficult to compete with high quality products.

In the current development trend, Vietnam still has a great demand for high-quality and skilled human resources. Science and technology have a direct impact on improving the quality of human resources, changing the organizational process, professional qualifications, and motivating workers to continuously learn, self-train, and self-acquire knowledge.

The 4.0 Industrial Revolution creates many challenges, especially unemployment. But it is also full of opportunities if the young generation has the will to strive, is healthy, has foreign languages, and is knowledgeable about information technology. Above all, they need to "transform", creating motivations for themselves to suit the times....
