The competition gathered more than 800 officers and soldiers from 20 units including police from provinces, cities, People's Police Universities, and People's Police Colleges in the Southern region to compete in 9 categories of shooting, martial arts, and obstacle course.
As a result, the Lam Dong Provincial Police team won the first prize; the second prize went to Ho Chi Minh City Police, People's Police College 2 and Dong Nai Provincial Police. The third prize went to Tra Vinh Provincial Police, People's Police University, Can Tho City Police, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded Encouragement prizes to the Police of Ca Mau, Tay Ninh, Kien Giang, Long An, Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces.
According to the Organizing Committee, this competition has new shooting exercises added to the military training materials and uses support tools for the first time in the competition, which are rifle and sniper shooting. These are difficult shooting exercises, requiring officers and soldiers to have proficient weapon skills and high professional qualifications.
The Organizing Committee awarded First, Second, Third and Consolation prizes to all teams participating in the competition.
Although this was the first time this event was included in the competition, the results showed that many participating teams had prepared carefully and achieved high results.
This is also the first time the Ministry of Public Security has had an obstacle course competition. Although the physical conditions of many units still face many difficulties, affecting the training process, with determination and effort, the teams have completed the competition according to plan, many teams have achieved excellent results.
In particular, in the martial arts competition, the Organizing Committee highly appreciated the participating teams, who had good results in the competition. Many attack and defense moves were coordinated smoothly and beautifully. Martial arts application situations were built to suit the specific work and combat characteristics of each unit.
The police from participating units and localities also performed the Mai Hoa Quyen form very well, even though this is a new form that has been included in the CAND martial arts training manual with many difficult technical moves. At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 95 prizes to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Major General Le Hong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security; Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, said that the contest was implemented in accordance with the purpose, requirements, content and program as planned, ensuring absolute safety for participating officers and soldiers.
The members of the jury scored the examinations objectively, impartially, and accurately. The secretariat and referees kept full statistics and promptly updated the situation and results of each examination. The participating teams and athletes overcame difficulties and strictly followed the Public Security regulations and examination regulations. The results of the examinations accurately assessed the quality of the individuals and groups participating in the examinations.
