Ca Mau: Tornado destroys many houses

On the evening of October 9, information from the People's Committee of Thoi Binh district (Ca Mau province) said that a tornado had just occurred in the area, injuring many people and collapsing many houses.

Accordingly, the tornado occurred at 3:15 p.m. the same day, in Hamlet 1 (from Kinh Lau Bridge to Ba Diem Sluice, Tri Phai Commune). As a result, 15 houses were damaged, of which 6 were completely collapsed; many trees fell, blocking the road, causing traffic obstruction.

In addition, the tornado also injured 6 people, including Mrs. Tran Thi Tam (84 years old) who broke her arm. Mrs. Tam is currently in the process of being transferred to a provincial hospital for treatment.

After the tornado occurred, the People's Committee of Thoi Binh district directed rescue forces to the scene to help people overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
