MSc. Le Van Hien, Deputy Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, informed that in addition to the 5 long-standing training majors, the school plans to open at least 2 new majors in 2025.
In the field of business and management, in the business group, the school will recruit and train additional international business majors. In the finance - banking - insurance group, the school will open additional finance - banking majors.

Opening 3 new training majors, it is expected that the enrollment target for 2025 of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law will increase sharply by nearly 800 more targets, with a total of about 4,000 targets.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law will apply 3 admission methods including:
Method 1 : Direct admission, direct admission and priority admission according to the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Method 2 : Admission according to the school's admission plan.
This method is for 4 subjects including students of international high schools, with international language certificates or US SAT exam results, considering candidates who are students at schools listed in the "List of high schools with priority for admission in 2024 of Ho Chi Minh City National University" and considering admission based on the results of the university entrance assessment exam (V-SAT).
Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education plans to open 6 new training majors with 3 admission methods.
In particular, the school plans to open a new major in nutrition and food science, a major in a field far different from the school's current training programs. The other five new majors include resource and environmental management, financial technology, business administration, engineering physics, and communication technology.
In addition, 2025 is the first year the school opens 12 training majors at the Binh Phuoc branch.
The school uses 3 admission methods including admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; admission based on high school transcripts, graduating in 2025 based on the average score of the 6 semester transcripts of each subject according to the combination (there are 3 subjects) and admission based on the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam.
It is expected that by 2025, Ho Chi Minh City National University will have a number of new interdisciplinary majors such as educational technology, land economics, digital agricultural technology, digital agricultural business, and medical and pharmaceutical technology.
In addition, this university also aims to develop new majors related to renewable energy, nuclear power, new logistics, serving the national development strategy of electric power, providing human resources for the operation of the urban railway system (metro), Long Thanh international airport, and the North-South high-speed railway.
At the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) , a new major is opened, enrolling the first course in educational technology with a quota of about 100 students.
According to the school's leaders, the bachelor's program in educational technology meets academic requirements as well as requirements for practice in the field of educational technology.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine also adjusted the enrollment target for 2025 for some majors such as traditional medicine, up 20%, nursing up 10%, pharmacy up 30% compared to the enrollment target for 2024.
The school will increase from 3 to 6 admission methods in 2025, including high school graduation exam results; direct admission according to the regulations of the admission regulations; using the results of the capacity assessment test and thinking assessment organized by other units for admission; using only international certificates for admission; combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission; using other methods.
Although the enrollment target is not increased, the University of Finance and Marketing is expected to open two new majors, economic management and data science, in 2025. The basic admission methods will remain stable as last year.
FPT University also plans to open 6 new majors (in law and business administration) and a number of majors oriented to meet development needs such as financial technology (Fintech), digital banking and finance (Digital Banking and Finance), corporate finance, investment finance, economic law, international trade law.
