Up to now, many universities have announced their admission plans, in which, considering high school transcripts continues to be used by many schools in this year's admission season.

Compared to last year, this year the Academy of Journalism and Communication plans to reduce 20% of the admission quota by considering high school graduation exam scores, and reserve up to 50% of the quota for considering transcripts and considering transcripts combined with international certificates.

With the method of considering transcripts, the academy will consider the learning results of 6 semesters, expected to reserve 20% of the admission quota, an increase of 5% compared to last year.

With the combined consideration method of academic records and international certificates, the academy plans to reserve about 30% of the admission quota, double that of last year.

In 2025, Hanoi Law University plans to enroll 2,650 students, an increase of 150 compared to last year.

The school maintains 4 stable admission methods including: direct admission and priority admission; considering candidates taking the monthly, quarterly, and annual Road to Olympia contest; based on the three-year high school transcript; based on the high school graduation exam results.

Regarding the results of the transcript and graduation exam, the school considers the learning results of the entire year of grades 10, 11, and 12 according to the combinations specifically determined for each major, including considering the conversion of international foreign language certificates.

This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology maintains 4 stable methods, including: Admission based on the results of the capacity assessment test organized by the school; admission based on high school study results combined with interviews; direct admission according to the school's project; admission based on high school graduation exam results.

Of which, the school reserves 20% of its quota for admission based on high school academic results combined with interviews. Candidates are exempted from the knowledge test and only need to participate in the interview.

This year, Banking Academy also maintains stable admission methods, including: Direct admission, based on high school academic results, considering international certificates, results of competency assessment exams, considering high school graduation exam scores.

With the method of considering academic records, the academy reserves 20% of the admission quota. To consider admission using this method, the academy requires candidates to have excellent academic performance in grade 12 and have an average score of 8.0 or higher for each subject in the group of majors registered for admission for 3 years.

According to the 2025 regular university enrollment plan of the Vietnam Women's Academy, this year, the school plans to enroll 1,765 students for 11 majors with 6 admission methods. Of which, notably with method 3 of considering academic records, the academy will consider the academic results of all 3 years of grades 10, 11 and 12. It is expected that this method will open for registration from May 2025.

In 2025, university admissions are expected to have many changes. According to the draft admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), if considering academic records, schools must use a combination of at least 3 subjects, including Math or Literature with a proportion of one-third or more of the total score. Schools must also use the results of the entire 12th grade year, instead of using scores from 3-5 semesters as in previous admissions seasons.

With the Ministry of Education and Training's expected 2025 enrollment regulations, Dr. Nguyen Phi Long, Head of Training Department of Vietnam Women's Academy, said that the competition rate for admission by considering academic records this year will increase. Therefore, candidates and parents should calculate, consider, and carefully research the enrollment information of schools when choosing this admission method.

According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 university entrance exam will not apply early admission. All admission methods will be considered in one round. It is expected that the regulations on university admission and college admission for preschool education will be issued by the Ministry of Education and Training in February 2025.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training, said that the concept of early admission here means early in terms of time, admission before the high school graduation exam. In the general admission round after the high school graduation exam, schools can use all admission methods.
