The Academy of People's Security announced the recruitment of 440 full-time students for the 2025 school year, an increase of 30 points compared to last year.
Of the 440 enrollment quotas for the People's Security Academy this year, 290 quotas (261 male, 29 female) are for the Security Operations group and 150 quotas (136 male, 14 female) are for the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention group.
The northern recruitment area from Hue and beyond is divided into 4 regions (regions 1, 2, 3, 8).
- Region 1: Northern mountainous provinces (10 provinces): Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La.
- Region 2: provinces and cities in the Northern Delta and midlands (15 provinces and cities): Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh.
- Region 3: North Central provinces (6 provinces and cities): Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue.
- Region 8: North includes active duty soldiers stationed from Hue and beyond of units A09, C01, C10, C11, K01, K02.

Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Group (the school reserves a maximum of 50 male candidates to send for overseas training in the field of Information Technology, selected from among the candidates admitted to the school).

In addition, the school recruits 100 students in Information Technology, under a cooperation program with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and 150 students for the second degree program. The admission method will be announced later, when there are instructions from the Ministry of Public Security.
Last year, the admission score to the People's Security Academy based on the combination of graduation exam scores and the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test scores ranged from 17.5 to 25.42.
Before the People's Security Academy, two other schools in the police sector announced their enrollment targets, including the People's Police Academy (530 targets) and the Fire Prevention and Fighting University (200 targets).
In January 2025, the Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to allocate enrollment quotas for public security academies and schools in 2025. Of which, the total enrollment quota for full-time university is 2,200; for intermediate level, 300; and for second degree, 850.
Schools continue to enroll students mainly based on high school graduation exam scores combined with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test scores. The test consists of three parts: mandatory essay, mandatory multiple choice, and optional multiple choice.
The compulsory essay section includes one social argument question with a maximum total score of 25. The compulsory multiple choice section includes 35 Math questions (35 points), 10 History questions (10 points), and 20 Foreign Language questions (15 points).
The multiple choice test has 15 questions (15 points), candidates choose one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography. Candidates take the test in 180 minutes, total score is 100.
