The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issues recommendations for tourists during the National Day holiday on September 2.

To ensure the legitimate rights and interests of tourists, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has made a number of recommendations during the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2.

Tourists need to carefully research information about special travel packages, especially travel programs and hotel rooms at cheaper prices than usual, and choose businesses providing tourism services that meet the conditions prescribed by law, specifically: having a Business Registration Certificate, a Business License for domestic and international travel services, a Decision to recognize the class of tourist accommodation establishments, and a document notifying the results of the inspection of minimum conditions for technical facilities and services of tourist accommodation establishments issued by a competent state agency.

Proactively reconfirm information in the travel contract (confirm booking, quality, service price, time, tour program, tour guide; facilities for tourist accommodation,...).

Proactively seek information from organizations and individuals doing tourism business at the website: http://csdl.vietnamtourism.gov.vn.

The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also noted some violations for tourists to proactively prevent:

- Conducting tourism business without meeting business conditions, without a license to conduct domestic and international travel services, or without ensuring business conditions during operation;

- Discriminating against tourists, competing for tourists, forcing tourists to buy goods and services;

- Advertising the wrong type or class of tourist accommodation that has been recognized by a competent state agency; advertising the type or class of tourist accommodation that has not been recognized by a competent state agency.

When detecting violations, organizations and individuals are requested to promptly provide information to the Department of Tourism, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in localities and the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism via the hotline.
