Chairman of the Quang Tri Province Karate Federation, 5th degree black belt Duong Manh Hung said: The martial art of Karate being included in the competition for the first time at this Phu Dong Sports Festival is a great joy for the martial arts masters, Karate students and parents.
In recent times, Karate has developed strongly throughout the province from grassroots sports to high achievements, in which, the number of students and teachers participating in learning and teaching Karate is very large; in schools, many Karate martial arts clubs have been established to create opportunities for students to participate in regular activities, practice health, improve physical strength to serve well for studying, practicing and improving life skills.
Including Karate in the official competition program of the 7th Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival shows the deep concern of the provincial leaders and the Department of Education and Training; this is an important foundation for Karate to develop more strongly, especially in schools, contributing to the comprehensive development of education for students.
