On the afternoon of March 20, at a regular press conference providing information on socio-economic issues in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism responded to the incident related to the document "Minutes of handling a slip of the tongue" with the content of changing the Vietnamese motto, which was shared and spread online, causing public outrage recently.
Accordingly, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said it had received information about the incident. The Department is coordinating with relevant agencies to check and review information to clarify and consider and handle any signs of violations.
Previously, social networks circulated images of a document "Minutes of handling a slip of the tongue" with the content of changing Vietnam's motto. Specifically, under the national name "Socialist Republic of Vietnam", this document changed the motto to "Independence - Freedom - Just a little revelation". According to images shared on social networks, this document is said to have appeared at a screening of the documentary Anh trai say hi. The document also has the logos of Nomad Management Vietnam and DatVietVAC.
Immediately afterwards, Nomad Management Vietnam Company denied any involvement in this incident. The company said: "The above-mentioned "Minutes of Handling Violations" illegally cropped and pasted the company's brand image (logo). The Nomad brand image was used without consent or permission. Currently, we have been working with the authorities to clarify the matter."
