Before holding the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Mr. Dung held the following positions: Deputy Chief of Office of Long An Provincial Party Committee; Director of Long An Provincial Department of Home Affairs; Secretary of Thu Thua District Party Committee, Long An Province; Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
Previously, as Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Mr. Dung assisted the Minister in directing the following areas: vocational education; universities under the ministry; office work; Party and mass organizations; Project Management Board under the ministry and monitoring associations and non-governmental organizations operating in the fields under the ministry's responsibility.
Thus, currently, in addition to Minister Nguyen Kim Son, the Ministry of Education and Training has 5 deputy ministers including: Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi and Mr. Le Tan Dung.
