Four Deputy Ministers of Natural Resources and Environment were transferred and appointed as Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Environment, including Mr./Ms. Le Cong Thanh, Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, Tran Quy Kien, and Le Minh Ngan. Thus, after the restructuring, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has 10 Deputy Ministers.
The Government bloc after the reorganization includes 14 ministries and 3 ministerial-level agencies, reducing 5 ministries, branches and 3 agencies compared to before. The Ministry of Finance was established on the basis of merging the Ministry of Planning and Investment and taking the name of the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry of Construction was established on the basis of merging the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport. The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment was established on the basis of merging the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The Ministry of Science and Technology was established on the basis of merging the Ministry of Information and Communications with the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The Ministry of Home Affairs was established on the basis of merging with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions was established on the basis of the current Ethnic Minorities Committee and received the functions, tasks, and organization of the state management apparatus on religion from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In addition to the new ministries, the Government's organizational structure will maintain the ministries and ministerial-level agencies, including: Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Health, Government Office, Government Inspectorate, and State Bank of Vietnam.
