Binh Dinh aims to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of May.

On March 21, at the Binh Dinh Provincial Convention Center, the 13th Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, held the 22nd Session (14th thematic session) to review and decide on a number of important contents under its authority to ensure the legal basis for organizing the implementation of the policies of the Central Government and the Provincial Party Committee on socio-economic development of Binh Dinh province.

At this thematic session, the People's Council of Binh Dinh province reviewed the Proposals of the Provincial People's Committee on: Adjusting the state budget estimate for 2025; adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025; adjusting and supplementing the public investment plan for 2025; amending and supplementing Resolution No. 47 dated December 13, 2019 of the Provincial People's Council on promulgating the Price List of land types; approving the list of works and projects for which the State will reclaim land to implement socio-economic development projects for national and public interests and the List of works and projects for land use purpose conversion in 2025 (supplemented) in the province and deciding on a number of other important contents within its authority.

At this meeting, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, said that the results of implementing the province's socio-economic development tasks in the first 3 months of the year showed many positive signs.

GRDP is expected to grow by over 7% and the number of tourists to Binh Dinh in the first quarter will be about 3.3 million, the number of guests staying will be about 1.3 million, an increase of about 20% over the same period.

In addition, export turnover is also estimated at nearly 500 million USD, up 18%; public investment disbursement is 12.6% compared to the plan, the disbursement speed is maintained steadily; budget revenue is estimated at about 4,700 billion VND, reaching 26.7% compared to the plan, up 61.4% over the same period...

As for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, by March 18, localities had started construction of 3,700 houses, both repaired and newly built, reaching 85%; and completed and put into use 1,158 houses. By May 31, Binh Dinh will complete this program.

Regarding the plan of activities in the coming time, the report at the Conference said: Within the framework of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Dinh province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025), Binh Dinh province will also organize the largest investment promotion conference ever, at the same time awarding investment certificates and signing memorandums of understanding for 68 projects of investors, with an estimated investment capital of about 180,000 billion VND; of which 21 projects have been granted investment policies with an investment capital of about 17,000 billion VND. The implementation of these investment projects will help Binh Dinh province accelerate and make breakthroughs in the coming time.

Regarding personnel work, at the meeting, based on the submission of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the delegates voted to dismiss Mr. So Y Luy, former Head of the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council, XIII term, for the reason of retirement according to the regime.

At the same time, additional positions of members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term were elected for Mr. Tran Van Sang, Director of the Department of Justice; Mr. Cao Thanh Thuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Luong Dinh Tien, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

On this occasion, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council also voted to dismiss the position of member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term for Mr. Le Hoang Nghi, member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, due to having transferred to another job since March 1, 2025; Mr. Le Van Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, who retired early from March 1, 2025; Mr. Ta Xuan Chanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, who retired early from March 1, 2025; Mr. Ngo Van Tong, former Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, who retired from work waiting for retirement age from March 1, 2025; Mr. Tran Van Thanh, former Director of the Department of Tourism, who retired early from March 1, 2025; Mr. Dinh Van Lung, former Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee, who transferred to another job since March 1, 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Dinh province, said: Currently, Binh Dinh province is entering a very important period in its history when it has to carry out two tasks: maintaining double-digit growth for 10 consecutive years and carrying out phase 2 of the revolution of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus. In phase 1, Binh Dinh province was highly appreciated by the inspection team of the Politburo.

“Currently, the province has completed the restructuring and streamlining of the organizational apparatus with a determined and proactive spirit. The agencies and units after the restructuring have been put into stable operation. The restructuring of commune-level administrative units requires even more efforts from all levels and sectors, and the support and consensus of the people. This is an extremely important task, meeting the development and transformation requirements of the whole country,” added Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Dinh Province Ho Quoc Dung.

Through this, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung also requested that immediately after the end of the session, the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee need to direct all levels, sectors and localities to focus on organizing and implementing with a proactive, creative, drastic and synchronous spirit to ensure that the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council come into life and achieve practical results.

At the same time, be proactive in organizing the implementation of the Central Government's policies on rearranging and organizing the apparatus in the political system from the province to the grassroots level, ensuring that the operations of agencies and units after rearrangement ensure quality, do not interrupt work, do not leave vacant areas or fields, and do not affect the normal operations of agencies, units, organizations and people.
