In recent years, the emulation movement for good production and business has contributed to encouraging and motivating the spirit and determination to overcome difficulties and become rich among farmers in Pho Yen City.

Farmers in Dong Cao ward (Pho Yen city) implement a model of growing safe vegetables in greenhouses, bringing high economic value.

Pho Yen City Farmers' Association has over 22,200 members, operating in 272 branches, belonging to 18 association bases. In recent years, the association at all levels has actively implemented the movement of farmers competing in production and good business; replicating advanced models, aiming to spread the movement to all members.

With the motto "Farmers teach farmers", "farmers learn from farmers", the Association takes grassroots association officials, branch heads, especially good farmer members as the core to mobilize the establishment of cooperatives and cooperatives; link and cooperate to expand production scale; build brands, ensure product quality to be competitive in the market.

Pho Yen City Farmers' Association closely coordinates with functional agencies to create favorable conditions in terms of capital, techniques, production technology, consulting activities, services, vocational training to help farmers develop production and business; regularly organize training programs, seminars, field trips, and effective production linkage models. Thereby, helping farmer members have the opportunity to exchange and learn experiences in production; scientific and technical level and production experience are increasingly improved.

From the movement, many typical examples have emerged. A typical example is Mr. Luong Anh Van, in Thanh Hoa residential group, Trung Thanh ward. Born into a farming family, in 2001, he decided to go to vocational school and open a wooden handicraft workshop at home. Thanks to proactively grasping market demand and making efforts to research and learn from experience, the wooden products of Van Sau wooden handicraft workshop are increasingly diverse and rich, such as: Beds, cabinets, tables and chairs, handicraft beds; feng shui wooden products...

Currently, Van Sau fine art wooden furniture facility has a factory of over 1,000m2, creating regular jobs for 8-12 workers, with an average salary of 5-7.5 million VND/person/month. On average, each month, the facility consumes 5-10 blocks of wood of all kinds. Revenue in the past 5 years has always reached 4-5 billion VND.

In addition, he also cooperated with Nam Thai Nguyen Vocational College to organize training for local workers to master basic practical skills of civil carpentry and fine art carpentry, creating career opportunities for local youth.

Another typical example is Mr. Nguyen Huy Son, in Tan Ap 1 hamlet, Phuc Thuan commune. Thanks to the propaganda and support of the Farmers' Association, Mr. Son established the Viet Thai Tea Foreign Trade Joint Stock Company. The company cooperated with over 50 households in Tan Ap 1 hamlet and hamlet 7 to build a production area with a total area of ​​20 hectares, and at the same time applied the production process according to VietGAP standards.

Mr. Son also established a group of 10 people to research and self-process organic microbial fertilizers made from agricultural products to popularize to people, in order to reduce costs and improve the quality of tea products.

On average, each month, the Company sells over 10 tons of finished tea, with 4 main products: Cao Son Tra, Thiet Bao Tra, Tam Tra and Loc Tra. Not only consumed in the domestic market, the Company's tea products are also exported to the UK, with prices ranging from 2-5 million VND/kg.

Not only Mr. Van and Mr. Son, but also from the emulation movement of good production and business, in Pho Yen city, many models have appeared with high economic efficiency, with income from 200 million VND to several billion VND per year.

In 2024, the city had over 13,100 households registering for the title of excellent production and business households at all levels, accounting for 60% of the total number of members. Through evaluation, over 7,400 households achieved the title of excellent production and business households at all levels.

The production scale of farming households is increasingly expanding, attracting and creating regular jobs for thousands of local workers, bringing stable income and improving farmers' lives.
