Attending the ceremony were comrades Le Van Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Secretary of the Tam Ky City Party Committee; Nguyen Cong Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and representatives of departments, unions, veterans and people of Tam Ky City.
In the solemn atmosphere at the Tam Ky City Martyrs Cemetery and the Mau Than 1968 Victory Monument, the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to express deep gratitude to the outstanding children who sacrificed their blood and bones for the cause of national liberation.
After the incense offering ceremony, Tam Ky City People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony and installed the signboard for the project to upgrade and renovate the city's Martyrs Cemetery and the project to upgrade and renovate the Mau Than 1968 Victory Monument. These are two key projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Tam Ky and Quang Nam province.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam - Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee said that starting construction in January 2025, the two projects not only have historical, cultural and spiritual significance but are also a place for relatives, comrades of martyrs, delegations and people to visit and commemorate; showing deep gratitude for the great contributions of previous generations and contributing to educating revolutionary traditions for today's and future generations.
