The class took place from April 10 to August 9, 2023, with 20 students who are officials from localities and domestic units participating. After 4 months of concentrated study at Tra Vinh University, students studied 6 modules: Khmer A1 1: Identify consonant symbols, consonant feet and vowels in lowercase; sound change phenomenon; basic phonetic signs; Khmer A1 2: Khmer vocabulary through lesson topics; Khmer A2 1: Distinguish some common words such as homonyms, synonyms, antonyms, polysemous words. Recognize and read correctly borrowed words and words of Pali-Sanskrit origin; Khmer A2 2: Identify the meaning of words through affixes. Identify vocabulary at intermediate level. Develop Khmer vocabulary through lesson topics such as: Labor - production, Science - education, health and transportation. At the same time, help students identify the functions of some components that make up paragraphs and sentences; Khmer B1 1: apply some common word formation methods in Khmer in reading comprehension and developing their own vocabulary. Understand the rules for creating sentences and short paragraphs related to the topics learned. At the same time, students can understand the expressive characteristics of some main types of texts in Khmer; Khmer B1 2: grasp knowledge about word types and the phenomena of synonyms and homonyms in practice in each type of text.
Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Principal of Tra Vinh University and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, Head of the Department of Cooperation and Foreign Training, Department of Training and Development of Cadres, Central Organizing Committee awarded certificates to the trainees.
At the end of the course, 14 students achieved excellent results and 06 students achieved good results. After the course, students can listen, speak, read and write relatively well. They are able to apply the knowledge they have learned to continue studying at a higher level abroad (Cambodia).
