Vietnam is currently one of 193 member countries of the United Nations committed to supporting, acting, being active and making more efforts to build a fair world, sustainable development and bring happiness to humanity.
Responding to the International Day of Happiness on March 20 and implementing Decision No. 1079/QD-TTg dated September 14, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Project on communication on human rights in Vietnam, the Ministry of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and relevant agencies, organized the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024". The contest is one of the key activities in the series of communication events - exhibitions on human rights in Vietnam 2024 (Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024). 2024 is the second year of the contest, launched nationwide to attract the participation of a large number of authors across the country. Authors, both professional and non-professional, Vietnamese and foreigners, at home or abroad, can participate. About 100 - 150 works that make it to the Final round will be selected by the Organizing Committee Exhibitions to serve foreign information work at home and abroad. The competition will be widely communicated on mass media and digital platforms. The announcement and award ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.

| Criteria for entries - Highly promoting the image of the country, Vietnamese people, cultural and natural values across the country; arousing national pride and aspirations for development in all classes of people to join hands to build Vietnam to be increasingly prosperous, prosperous and happy. - Reflecting truthfully and vividly the achievements in all aspects of political, economic, cultural and social life of Vietnam, especially in the process of innovation, development and international integration. - Conveying valuable knowledge, attracting strong public interest and having a wide spread at home and abroad. - The work was composed from January 1, 2022 to the time of receiving the work and has never been submitted to or won any previous competitions or exhibitions. | |
| Requirements - Entries must be legal and not infringe copyright. Authors submitting entries must be fully responsible for the copyright of their works. - Entries must be highly promotional, meeting the criteria of artistic quality, from content to form of expression must not violate Vietnamese customs and laws. - Encourage the application of modern information technology and communications to create good communication effects for the public. | |
| Contestants - Contestants: Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over. - Members of the Organizing Committee, Jury, and Secretariat are not allowed to participate in the contest. | |
| Prize structure Each competition category has prizes and prize values as follows: - 01 Gold Medal: 70 million VND - 02 Silver Medals: 20 million VND - 03 Bronze Medals: 10 million VND - 10 Encouragement Prizes: 5 million VND - 01 Most voted work: 5 million VND |
