On the evening of December 11, the Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to organize the opening of the exhibition and announce the awards for the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024".
Authors won the Gold Medal "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024".
This is the second year the contest has been held online on the platform to promote Vietnam's image. Compared to 2023, the contest has spread strongly to all 63 provinces and cities with authors participating. Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said that the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" is an important event to honor people across the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends who apply digital technology to create photos and videos about the country and people of Vietnam. This year's contest has more than 10,300 works by nearly 6,900 authors, including 600 foreign authors and nearly 270 overseas Vietnamese authors. On the Vietnam.vn platform, there have been more than 90 million visits, of which over 35% are from abroad. According to Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, more than 10,000 stories about the peaceful, beautiful and happy Vietnam have been recorded by authors in photos and videos, from mountainous areas to cities, from mainland to islands, from familiar things to heroic moments of the nation...
Compared to 2023, this year's contest has spread strongly to all 63 provinces and cities with participating authors.
The Organizing Committee selected 60 videos and 150 photos to display at the exhibition, of which 34 outstanding works were awarded. Each photo and video category has 17 awards, including 01 Gold Medal, 02 Silver Medals, 03 Bronze Medals, 10 Encouragement Awards and 01 most voted work. Many works are presented with a new, objective perspective on life, society and the development of the country and people of Vietnam, conveying the message of a happy, civilized and powerful Vietnam.

In the photo category, the Gold Medal for photo belongs to the work "Sweet Happiness" (Vu Dieu Hoa); the Silver Medal belongs to the works "Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte cycling around Hanoi" (Duong Van Giang), "Racing on the construction site of the 500kV power line circuit 3" (Tran Huy Hung).
