Once again, Bau Trang has been chosen as the venue for a national sporting event. The 2023 National Traditional Boat Racing Championship will take place from June 20 to 26, 2023 , at Bau Trang Eco-tourism Area, Hoa Thang, Bac Binh). So far, according to the organizing committee, An Giang, Binh Thuan, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City , Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc will compete. Currently, there are 288 athletes participating in the tournament, of which 126 are women , participating in 18 competitions for both men, women and mixed men and women with boats of 10 and 20 rowers .

The deepest is up to 22.5m. The shallowest area from the shore is about 5 - 6m, the depth is 12 - 15m. Meanwhile, Bau Ong has an area of 48ha, the shallowest is also 5 - 6m from the shore, the deepest is 14.5m.
